Dylan's Preschool Graduation

Last Thursday was Dylan's last day of preschool. They had a little program where they sang some of the songs that they learned throughout the year and parents and grandparents were there to watch.
Here is Dylan with his teachers, he is going to miss them. He talks about them all the time!
Natalie would cry almost everyday when we would drop Dylan off, she LOVED it when she was able to stay for a little bit and act like a preschooler. She liked it more than Dylan did! The teachers really liked her too.
During the program Dylan got a little excited and was yelling things out like, "hey daddy, why do you still have your work clothes on?" He was just being super silly.
This is the song they sang every morning when they got to school.

This video is of another song but the best part is at the end...oh Dylan.

food in heaven

I wanted to share a cute conversation that I had with Dylan real quick...
Last night when Dylan and Natalie were eating Dylan asked me if there was going to be food in heaven, this was how the conversation started...

dylan-"Hey mom, do you know if there is food in heaven?"
me- "oh yeah, I'm sure there is."
dylan-"Do you think there is Diet Coke there too?"
me- "Probably"
dylan- "I bet that God the Father really likes Diet Coke."
me- "oh I'm sure He does."
dylan- "do you think that Mary and Joseph are in heaven?"
me- "Yes, they are."
dylan- "what about their donkey? Because if there donkey is up there there better be hay too! Cause donkey's eat hay."
me- "I'm sure that there is hay for the donkey's to eat."
dylan- "well then there better be food up there too! Is there food there?"
me- I'm speechless and wasn't sure what I should say except that I can't believe that he calls God, God the Father. Its so cute!

Puppies!

We went to go see the Dykstra's puppies a little while ago. They are Wheaten Terriers and there are 7 of them. They were SO cute and within a few minutes both the kids picked their favorites. Dylan liked the black one, her name was Vada. Natalie liked Louisa, probably because it was the only one whose name she couldn't pronounce.

Dylan with his favorite.

Natalie's 1st hair cut

Natalie had her first hair cut a couple of weeks ago. I think it bothered me more than it bothered her. At first you can see she wasn't that excited about the chair and cape, but by the end she was totally fine. It was only a couple of inches and just to "clean it up" but I still felt sad that her baby hair was getting cut off. Don't worry I kept a curl to put in her baby book, if I can find it. :)
